Rugs Don't Have to be Soft!

Want to put a rug in your room? Why not make it permanent? Tile can be found in a variety of colors and sizes, so why not get creative and enhance your floor with a tile rug. The great part about these rugs....they won't wear out or move under your feet!

Example One: Use alternate sizes in the same color to create a rug under a dining room table. The Stratos series seen in this image has a contemporary linear pattern throughout the tile creating a soothing pattern, using 2"x2" mosaics under the table breaks ups the pattern and the room into different spaces. The legs of these chairs won't get caught on the edge of this rug.

Stratos Avorio: Subtle rug pattern under table.
Example Two: Mixed mosaics can be used in the same manner, this rug leads you through the room like a runway. This simple design uses a 2"x2" mosaic as a border then changes the direction of the field tile on the inside. Simple yet powerful.

Plantation Antique Oak: Mixed mosaics used to outline this intriguing wood-look rug.
Example Three: If that's not enough pop for you, try using an interesting mosaic that adds color and movement into the space. Many mosaics can be used in floor applications. This mosaic is a combination of slate, metal, and glass. Be creative!
Nambucca Slate Waterfall: Combination slate, metal, and glass mosaic adds color and more pop.
