Maniscalco's Barossa Valley Crackle Glass
Offering sheets of 2x2 solids, blends and 3 hot waterfall blends, there's sure to be a color for everyone's project. The series offers the following colors: cinnamon, oak, vanilla, ice, raspberry, and clove. Perhaps the designer had tobacco flavors in mind when they named the glass?
The 3 contemporary waterfall blends each incorporate 3 colors of the crackle glass. Whether your looking for glitz, glam, rich, earthy, or unique... this series is worth checking out.
While we're on the subject of crackle glass...
We can't forget about Seneca Tile's newest addition, Glassic. This crackle glass series is truly a handmade product. The colored, crushed glass is fused to high fired stoneware. Available in 21 colors, in either 4x4, 2x2, 1x1, 2x4 diamond, custom decos and custom liners! These glass products truly shimmer and glimmer.
One more thing!
I was just about to sign off for my holiday weekend and almost forgot about the Medici's Bellini Crackle Glass Collection. Very similar to Maniscalco's Barossa Valley Crackle Glass, Bellini offers 10 colors and available in sheets of 2x2, 4x4, 2x4 diamond, liners and much more.
Medici also has the Calypso Collection, which offers a more handmade look ssimilar to Seneca Tile's Glassic series. Calypso offers 4 solids and one blend available in either 1x1, 1" pennyround, or 2" oval.
A courteous reminder
While we hate to nag you with these generic disclaimers, it's important to remember: due to local raw materials and unique manufacturing techniques, extreme variations in body and color from tile to tile are to be expected. This is considered desirable due to its hand-crafted process. Crackle glass must be sealed using GuardAll. Resealing is needed periodically based on the porosity of the glass, and location (foyer vs. backsplash). Glass tile used as a decoration on a floor will be susceptible to scratching.
