Q & A: Cold Feet!

Q. I love that tile is durable and maintanence free, however my kitchen is above an unheated basement and I am afraid that it will be cold on my feet.

A. Your right! Tile is a great way to upgrade your kitchen and have it looking great for years to come. There is a solution for your a bare-foot family. WARM TILES!

The Warm Tiles cable allows you to install full floor warming coverage by lacing the cable on the floor wherever you require a heated area, then tile over the cable system.

Warm Tiles Floor Warming Thermostats provide comfort, control and years of trouble free service. The Floor Sensor is embedded in the mortar just below your tiles, which monitors the actual floor temperature to provide you with accurate comfort levels. Each model features comfort level programming options as well as a simple off-position selector switch. You may also choose the pre-programmed set back mode to reduce energy usage by over 50%.

For the "Do-it-Yourself" kind of guy, Warm Tiles has an extensive website providing a video training guide and interactive tutorials. http://www.warmtiles.com/videoTG.asp

Abram Bergy Tile Project: Master Bathroom

Abram Bergy & Sons sent us pictures of a fabulous master bathroom with tile from the Mystique series. I love the way they took the mosaic tile above the cabinets then used the same tile on the shower floor to tie it all together!

What a Difference a Grout Can Make!

Crystal Stone from Ragno has been in our showroom for several months, we have even installed it into displays, but none of us were prepared for the new grouted panels that Jeff made for our showroom. Each board is one sheet of mosaic tile completed with two different colors of grout. You will notice that the contrasting colored tile “Pops” and the blending tile recedes. We have talked before about selecting grout color, but some of the mosaic/grout combos look so completely different that some customers insist that they are not the same mosaic! Take a look and let us know what you think.
